How To Set The Password On The 1500E

The 1500E can be configured with a password to prevent unauthorized changes to the settings on the time recorder. By default, it has no password. To set a password:

1. Insert the key into the Top Cover and turn it 1/4 turn to unlock the cover.
2. By holding the left and right sides, lift the Top Cover up.
3. Press SELECT. If a password was previously set, the display should show 99 99.
4. Enter the password. The password is required to access the settings. If the password is unknown, the time recorder must be reset. To enter the password:
   • Press CHANGE to enter the first two numbers of the password.
   • Press SET.
   • Press CHANGE to enter the second two numbers of the password.
   • Press SET
5. Press SELECT to position the Indicator Mark over PASSWORD.
6. Press CHANGE to select the first two digits of the password.
7. Press SET to save the change.
8. Press CHANGE to select the second two digits of the password.
9. Press SET to save the change.
10. Press SET again to exit the programming mode.

When completed, the 1500E should return to the normal display.
