How To Set Up The 1000E For Daylight Saving Time

Configuring the Daylight Saving Time settings on the 1000E is essential for accurate time tracking and record keeping. The 1000E should automatically set the dates for the next year. To setup the Daylight Saving Time settings:

1. Insert the key into the Top Cover and turn it 1/4 turn to unlock the cover.
2. By holding the left and right sides, lift the Top Cover up.
3. Press SELECT.
4. Enter the Password. The password is required to access the settings. If the password is unknown, the time recorder must be reset.
   
   To enter the password:
   • Press CHANGE to enter the first two numbers of the password.
   • Press SET.
   • Press CHANGE to enter the second two numbers of the password.
   • Press SET
5. Press SELECT until the Indicator Mark is over S.T. START.
6. Press CHANGE to set the Year for when Daylight Saving Time starts.
7. Press SET when the Year has been changed. The flashing will change from Year to Month.
8. Press CHANGE to set the Month for when Daylight Saving Time starts.
9. Press SET when the Month has been changed. The flashing will change from Month to Day.
10. Press CHANGE to set the Day for when Daylight Saving Time starts.
11. Press SET when the Day has been changed.
12. Press SET again to confirm the settings.
13. Press SELECT.
14. Enter the Password.
15. Press SELECT until the Indicator Mark is over S.T. END. The Year will be flashing.
16. Press CHANGE to set the Year for when Daylight Saving Time ends.
17. Press SET when the Year has been changed. The flashing will change from Year to Month.
18. Press CHANGE to set the Month for when Daylight Saving Time ends.
19. Press SET when the Month has been changed. The flashing will change from Month to Day.
20. Press CHANGE to set the Day for when Daylight Saving Time started.
21. Press SET when the Day has been changed.
22. Press SET again to confirm the settings and exit the programming mode.

When completed, the 1000E will return to the normal display.
