How To Set Up The 5000E For Daylight Saving Time

Daylight Saving Time must be programmed into the The 5000E. Each year, the time recorder will automatically set the dates based on the previous years dates.
To program the Daylight Saving Time settings:

1. Insert and turn the key 1/4 turn clockwise.
2. Lift and Remove the Top Cover from the Base.
3. Press the [SW5: MODE] key to move the marker over START DAYLIGHT SAVING.
4. Press the [SW4: YEAR] key to set the year.
5. Press the [SW3: HOUR / MONTH] key to set the month.
6. Press the [SW2: MINUTE / DAY] key to set the day.
7. Press the [SW1: SET] key to save the changes.
8. Press the [SW1: SET] key again to exit the programming mode.
9. Press the [SW5: MODE] key to move the marker over END DAYLIGHT SAVING.
10. Press the [SW4: YEAR] key to set the year.
11. Press the [SW3: HOUR / MONTH] key to set the month.
12. Press the [SW2: MINUTE / DAY] key to set the day.
13. Press the [SW1: SET] key to save the changes.
14. Press the [SW1: SET] key again to exit the programming mode.

The 5000E should return to the normal display.
