On computers that run HP ProtectTools, the touchstation will display as connected but will not allow employees to scan their fingers. To correct this:
- Uninstall Device Access Manager for HP ProtectTools.
- Uninstall Drive Encryption for HP ProectTools.
- Uninstall Credential Manager for HP ProtectTools.
- Uninstall Embedded Security for HP ProtectTools.
- Uninstall File Sanitizer for HP ProtectTools.
- Uninstall Privacy Manager for HP ProtectTools.
- Uninstall Java Card Security for HP ProtectTools.
- Uninstall HP Protect Tools Security Manager.
- Uninstall PayClock USB Terminal Manager.
HP ProtectTools will have also left some drivers on your computer despite uninstalling the software. These will need to be manually removed. To remove those drivers:
- Open your C drive.
- Open your Windows folder.
- Open your System32 folder.
- Locate the file dll and delete it. It may be called DPCLbackx64.dll on a Windows 64 bit computer. If you cannot locate this file please proceed to the next step.
- Locate the file dll and delete it. It may be called DPFPApix64.dll on a Windows 64 bit computer. If you cannot locate this file please proceed to the next step.
- Locate the file dll and delete it. It may be called DPCdllx64.dll on a Windows 64 bit computer. If you cannot locate this file please proceed to the next step.
- Locate the file dll and delete it. It may be called DPCoInstx64.dll on a Windows 64 bit computer. If you cannot locate this file please proceed to the next step.
- Locate the file dll and delete it. It may be called DPD00701x64.dll on a Windows 64 bit computer. If you cannot locate this file please proceed to the next step.
- Locate the file dll and delete it. It may be called DPdevctlx64.dll on a Windows 64 bit computer. If you cannot locate this file please proceed to the next step.
- Locate the file dll and delete it. It may be called DPdevdatx64.dll on a Windows 64 bit computer. If you cannot locate this file please proceed to the next step.
- Locate the file dll and delete it. It may be called DPFpUIx64.dll on a Windows 64 bit computer. If you cannot locate this file please proceed to the next step.
- Locate the file dll and delete it. It may be called DPHftrEXx64.dll on a Windows 64 bit computer. If you cannot locate this file please proceed to the next step.
- Locate the file dll and delete it. It may be called DPHMatchx64.dll on a Windows 64 bit computer. If you cannot locate this file please proceed to the next step.
- Locate the file dll and delete it. It may be called DPl00701x64.dll on a Windows 64 bit computer. If you cannot locate this file please proceed to the next step.
- Open regedit with Administrator privileges.
- Open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- Open the Software
- Delete the DigitalPersona You may see an error, but this should delete out most of the contents, which is enough for the reinstall to replace the entries.
- Open the folder called Wow6432Node. Delete the DigitalPersona key from this folder. You may see an error, but this should delete out most of the contents, which is enough for the reinstall to replace the entries.
- Reboot your Computer.
- Reinstall PayClock USB Terminal Manager.
