In some instances, correction fluid and tape are used to fix errors on a time card. Since the 800P and 2100HD have thermal print heads, this can leave residue on the print heads causing issues with print quality. Please use the steps below to clean your print head.
With the time clock turned "On", fold over a paper towel twice and dampen it lightly with Isopropyl Alcohol. Insert the damp paper towel between the print head and actuator and swipe the paper towel from side to side to clean the print head. Repeat this process until the desired print quality is obtained.
Please Note: During this process, it is a possibility that the print head will latch on the paper towel causing the paper towel to be locked in place. The print head will eventually unlatch and will allow cleaning to continue.
