Overview
Once a user or employee has become a User Identity, they log into PayClock Online with their email address and password instead of the Company ID and Username. If the same email is associated with more than one PayClock Online account, the user can pick which company to enter at login and switch between them after they’re in.
First-Time Login as a User Identity
- Go to the PayClock Online login page.
- Enter your email address and password.
- If your email is associated with more than one PayClock Online account, the Choose your account screen appears, listing every company your email is verified on.
- Select the company you want to enter.
- Optional: tick Set as Default? to skip the selection screen on future logins and go straight to that account.
If only one account is associated with your email: You won’t see the Choose your account screen — PayClock Online takes you straight to your account. |
Switching Accounts After Logging In
After logging in, your email address appears at the top of the screen (in place of the old Username). Click it to open the user menu.
The user menu has two areas:
- My Accounts — lists every company your email is associated with for web portal access. A check mark shows the account you’re currently in. Select a different company to switch — no second password prompt is required, and the page refreshes into the new account.
- User — Change My Preferences, Change Login Preferences, Change My Password, and Change My Email Address.
Where did Account & Billing go? For User Identity records, the user drop-down now relates only to the user and their accounts. Change System Settings, Account and Billing, Access Profile, and Logging have moved under the gear icon at the top of the screen. The Help (?) menu and Notification Center are unchanged. |
Changing or Clearing Your Default Account
If you set a default company at first login and want to change it (or clear it so you’re prompted at every login):
- Click your email address at the top of the screen.
- Choose Change Login Preferences.
- Set a different company as the default, or leave the default unchecked to be prompted at every login.
- You can also switch into another account directly from this screen — the result is the same as picking a company from the My Accounts drop-down.
Note
- Login Preferences also shows your last login date and timestamp.
Forgot Your Password?
Use the Forgot Password link on the PayClock Online login page. A User Identity password must be reset by the user — it cannot be reset by an Administrator or by Lathem Support.
Where Username and Company ID Still Apply
If you are not yet a User Identity, you can continue to log in with Company ID, Username, and password as before. The Company ID is also still used in places such as the PayClock Agent, QuickBooks Desktop integration, and FR series clocks. You can find your Company ID on the About PayClock / Account Information screen.
