Overview
Payroll-connected PayClock Online employees can now reach PayClock Online directly from inside Asure Central, using single sign-on. After logging into Asure Central, qualifying employees simply click the PayClock tile (or the PayClock Online entry under Applications) to be signed straight into their PayClock Online account.
- No separate PayClock Online login is required once signed into Asure Central
- Account linking is handled on the back end — employees do not have to log into PayClock Online first to grant access
- Available to PayClock employees whose account has an integration set up with Asure payroll (Evo or mid-market)
Who Qualifies
An employee qualifies for the PayClock tile in Asure Central when both of the following are true:
- They are a PayClock Online employee user
- Their PayClock Online account has an integration set up with Asure payroll
PayClock Online customers who are not connected to Asure (for example, PayClock with QuickBooks and no Asure connection) see no change beyond PayClock Online’s standard User Identity behavior.
First-Time Setup — Required Step
Run an Employee Sync in PayClock Online first For the PayClock tile to appear in Asure Central, the PayClock administrator must run an Employee Sync in PayClock Online at least once. This sync is what links Asure Central to PayClock Online. If employees report that the PayClock tile is missing immediately after the release, the most common cause is that the initial Employee Sync has not yet been run. After the first sync completes, new hires are linked automatically each time a sync runs. |
How Employees Access PayClock Online from Asure Central
- Log in to Asure Central.
- On the Asure Central home screen, locate the PayClock Online tile, or open Applications from the left navigation and select PayClock Online.
- Click the tile or the Applications entry.
- You are signed into PayClock Online automatically — no separate PayClock Online login required.
Notes
No Clock In / Out widget on the Asure Central dashboard yet
For now, employees open PayClock Online from the dashboard tile or Applications entry and clock in there. A direct Clock In / Out widget on the Asure Central employee view is a planned future enhancement.
Payroll employees first
This release supports payroll-connected PayClock Online employee users. Support for non-employee payroll users (for example, supervisors and administrators) is the next item on the that will be released. Support for non-payroll PayClock Online users through Asure Central is a longer-term, multi-team effort.
PCO-only customers are unaffected
A PayClock Online customer with no Asure connection sees no change beyond PayClock Online’s standard User Identity behavior.
Troubleshooting
The PayClock tile does not appear in Asure Central
- Confirm the PayClock administrator has run an Employee Sync in PayClock Online at least once after the release.
- Confirm the employee is set up as a PayClock employee user and is mapped to the Asure payroll integration.
- If the employee was hired after the most recent sync, run a new Employee Sync — new hires link automatically with each sync.
Clicking the PayClock tile prompts for a separate login
This can occur if the back-end account link has not yet been completed. Contact Lathem Technical Support so the link can be reviewed.
