How To Backup The Masterlink Software Database

The Masterlink database has the list of available schedules and the organizational structure of managed Master Clocks. It does not have an internal backup process. In the event of computer failure, the Master Clocks will have the information recently configured and sent from Masterlink. It does not hold the complete Masterlink database. To backup the database:

1. Open Masterlink.
2. Click Help | About from the menu.
3. Review the database path.
4. Close Masterlink.
5. Go to the database location.
6. Copy the Masterlink.sdf file from the location to a backup directory.

The Windows Task Scheduler can be used to backup the database with a batch file. For further assistance, contact our Technical Support Department at 404-691-1064.
