The setup of the CT72 terminal is a two part process. First you must define the CT72 terminal in the PayClock Online software. Then finish the setup at the CT72 terminal itself. Note: Record the serial number from the terminal, this will be used in the setup of the PayClock Online software.
Add the CT72 Terminal in the PayClock Online Software
- Open PayClock Online and go to the Clocks > Manage Clocks selection.
- Click the Add Clock option; +New if this will be another clock that will be added.
- Choose CT72 and click Select.
- Enter an identifier for the terminal in the Device Nickname field.
- Enter the serial number from the terminal in the Serial Number field.
- Click the Settings tab to select the desired Validation Types for the employees to use.
- The available Validation Types are: Allow Badges, Allow PIN Numbers and Allow Fingerprints
- Click Save.
Setup the communications at the CT72 terminal
The CT72 series time clock unit has two options for connecting to the network: Wireless or Wired
- WiFi Connection:
- Connect the power supply to the CT72 unit.
- Tap Settings.
- Enter the Admin PIN and tap OK. Note: The default PIN is 99999.
- Tap Wireless and select Wi-Fi Networking On if it isn’t already.
- Select the desired wireless network, the WIFI Passcode screen will display if secured.
- Tap OK when the passcode has been entered.
- Tap Sync Now.
- The clock will connect to PayClock Online, download data and will be ready for use.
- Wired Connection:
- Connect the network cable and power supply to the CT72 terminal.
- Tap Settings.
- Enter the Admin PIN and tap OK. Note: The default PIN is 99999.
- Tap Network and verify the clock has an IP address.
º If using a static IP address: tap DHCP to Off and enter the IP address, Subnet Mask and Gateway for the connection. - Tap Sync Now.
- The clock will connect to PayClock Online, download data and will be ready for use.
