Lathem Time Corporations' Mechanical Recorders are ideal for payroll time or job costing. The Mechanical Time Recorder's face and punch time are set separately. In instances where the Recorder's punch time is changing the day at 12:00PM, the issue is due to how the time was originally set for the punch. In setting the punch time, the underscore below the hour for the punch time represents PM hours. The AM hours would not be shown with an underscore.
In other words, if the current time is 2:33PM and the punch time is being set, the punch would be show as:
Standard Hours and Minutes: |
2:33 |
Continental Hours and Minutes: |
14:33 |
Standard Hours and Tenths: |
2:5 |
Continental Hours and Tenths: |
14:5 |
Standard Hours and Hundredths: |
2:55 |
Continental Hours and Hundredths: |
14:55 |
After setting the punch time, test punch a timecard to verify the correct hour is set. Again, Afternoon hours are represented with an Underscore below the hour (14:55).
This information is also explained in the owners manual.
