The 7000E calculates daily and accumulated totals for a pay period. To calculate hours, the Max In Value determines the shift worked. The default value is 13 hours. If an employee works longer, the Override buttons should be used to complete a shift. To set the Max In Value and Max In Override:
- Remove the top cover.
- Press and hold the FUNCTION button for 3 seconds.
- When the 7000E beeps, release the FUNCTION
- Press and release the FUNCTION button to position the indicator mark under MAX IN.
- Press the CHANGE button to change the Button Override setting.

- Press SET to save the change.
- Press the CHANGE button to change the Max IN Value.
- Press SET to save the change.
- Press SET again to exit the Programming Mode.
When completed, the 7000E should return to the normal display. Changing these settings cannot be done if cards are stored in memory and results in an E-49 Error. An All Cards Reset must be before making this change.
