E-53 Error Displayed On The 7000E

The 7000E tracks up to 50 timecards for a pay period. If the 7000E is displaying E-53 when inserting a card, the solution would be one of following:

1. To verify the pay period setup to make sure it is set to start on the day the pay period should actually start. If the period is not set correctly, the 7000E may already be at the capacity of the number of cards it can store. Also make sure the pay period type is appropriately set. Review the print configuration settings to determine if the clock is setup properly.
2. Make sure the limit of employees/timecards used does not exceed the maximum allowed. As mentioned, the 7000E can only track 50 timecards.

If the problem persists, the 7000E must be replaced as the internal memory that stores the number of cards is not clearing when the new period starts.
