E-03 Error Displayed On The 7000E

The 7000E calculates worked times on the cards for a pay period. The 7000E only uses the E7 Timecards. If the 7000E displays E-03, check the card being used:

• Generic cards, such as Tops, cannot be used.
• In using the E7 timecards, the back side of the card CANNOT be used until the front side is full within the same pay period.
• Timecards can only be used for one period and cannot span over two periods.
• Timecards cannot be used to separate different weeks of a pay period.

If the timecards are the proper cards and are being used correctly, the 7000E may be damaged. The barcode reader is either not recognizing the card being inserted or improperly reading the barcode.
