The 7500E has Hours rounding and Punch rounding. Hours rounding rounds total hours worked by the rounding unit. Punch rounding rounds each punch by the rounding unit. The Rounding Units are the time intervals that determine if totals or punches are to round to the nearest 15 minutes (1/4 of an hour) or the nearest 6 minutes (1/10 of an hour.) The Breakpoint is number of minutes that will determine if the punch rounds forward or backward.

Hours or punches will round to the 1/10th hour. If an employee works from 8:07AM to 3:56PM:- The total hours calculated should be 7 hours 48 minutes (or 7.8 hours) with Hours rounding.
- The total hours calculated should be 7 hours 48 minutes (or 7.8 hours) with Punch rounding because of how each punch is rounded.
- 15 Minute 3 Breakpoint
Hours or punches will round to the 1/4 hour. If an employee works from 8:07AM to 3:56PM:- The total hours calculated should be 7 hours 45 minutes (or 7.75 hours) with Hours rounding.
- The total hours calculated should be 7 hours 30 minutes (or 7.5 hours) with Punch rounding because of how each punch is rounded.
- 15 Minute 7 Breakpoint
Hours or punches will round to the 1/4 hour. If an employee works from 8:07AM to 3:56PM:- The total hours calculated should be 7 hours 45 minutes (or 7.75 hours) with Hours rounding.
- The total hours calculated should be 7 hours 45 minutes (or 7.75 hours) with Punch rounding because of how each punch is rounded.
