E-37 Error Displayed On The 7000E

The 7000E calculates worked time between punches and accumulated totals on the card for a pay period. If the time recorder displays E-37 when inserting a card, there could be debris in the card slot preventing the print head or print sensor from operating correctly to print on the card. This could also occur when the ribbon is not seated correctly in the 7000E. To correct the problem:

1. Remove and reinsert the ribbon to make sure it is properly inserted.
2. Verify there is no timecard or debris jammed in the card slot.
3. Verify nothing is blocking the print head from moving.

If the problem persists, the 7000E must be replaced.
