How To Set The Date On The 7000E

The 7000E calculates worked time between punches and accumulated totals on the card for a pay period. For this to occur, the time recorder must be set with the date. To set the date:

1. Insert the key into the Top Cover and turn it 1/4 turn to unlock the cover.
2. By holding the left and right sides, lift the Top Cover up.
3. Press and hold the DATE/TIME button for 3 seconds.
4. When the 7000E beeps, release the DATE/TIME
5. Press and release DATE/TIME to move the indicator mark under DATE.
6. Press CHANGE to set the Year.
7. Press SET to save the change.
8. Press CHANGE to set the Month.
9. Press SET to save the change.
10. Press CHANGE to set the Day.
11. Press SET to save the change.
12. Press SET again to exit the Programming Mode.

When completed, the 7000E should return to the normal display. Changing the date cannot be done if cards are stored in memory. An E-49 Error can occur and an All Cards Reset must be done.
