How To Set The Auto Break Deduction On The 7000E

The 7000E can be configured to deduct an amount of time from a worked shift. This amount could be considered the lunch break. To set the Auto Break Deduction:

1. Insert the key into the Top Cover and turn it 1/4 turn to unlock the cover.
2. By holding the left and right sides, lift the Top Cover up.
3. Press and hold the FUNCTION button for 3 seconds.
4. When the 7000E beeps, release the FUNCTION
5. Press the FUNCTION button to position the indicator under AUTO BREAK DEDUCTION.
6. Press SET to change the Elapsed Time.
7. Press CHANGE to set the number of hours for the elapsed time. The range is 0 to 24.
8. Press SET to save the change.
9. Press CHANGE to change the minutes for the elapsed time The range is 0 to 59.
10. Press SET to save the change.
11. Press CHANGE to set the Break Deduction.
12. Press the CHANGE button to select the Break Duration setting.
13. Press the SET button to change the Break Duration.
14. Press the CHANGE button to change the minutes for the Break. The range is 1 to 90.
15. Press SET to save the change.
16. Press SET again to exit the Programming Mode.

When completed, the 7000E should return to the normal display. The letter B is shown indicating the break was deducted. Changing the Auto Break Deduction while cards are stored in memory will cause an E-49 Error. An All Cards Reset must be performed to make the change.
