E-15 Error Displayed On The 7500E

The 7500E calculates worked time between punches and accumulated totals on the card for a pay period. If the time recorder displays E-15 when inserting a card, there could be debris in the card slot preventing it from sensing the card when it is being pulled in. This could also occur when the ribbon is not seated correctly in the 7500E. To correct the problem:

1. Remove and reinsert the ribbon to make sure it is properly inserted.
2. Verify there is no timecard or debris jammed in the card slot.

If the problem persists, the 7500E must be repaired. If the time recorder was purchased within the last 30 days, contact the vendor to have the it replaced. If the time recorder was purchased more than 30 days ago, it must be repaired
