The 6000E is equipped with a built-in signal relay. The amperage is critical. The number of signalling devices that can be hooked up is dependent upon the total current drawn. Connection Specifications for the signal relay are:
Contact Output |
One Circuit | Dry Contact |
The 6000E does not supply operational power to the external signalling device. The connected device MUST have its own source of power. |
Contact Capacity |
5A, 30VDC | 2A, 120VAC |
To connect an external device:
1. Disconnect the 6000E from AC Power. 2. Remove the External Relay Lid. 3. Insert wire connections for the external signaling devices. 4. Pull the wires through the U-shaped channel in the base of the time recorder. 5. Reattach the External Relay Lid 6. Install the two larger, supplied screws into a wall 10cm or 3.94" apart. 7. Secure the bell wires to the wall with a cable clamp. 8. Connect the 6000E to AC Power. 9. Set the date and time as needed. |

If connecting 115VAC Bell Circuits, it is REQUIRED to secure the unit to the wall and not table top. The wires should be secured to the wall to prevent accidentally exposing dangerous voltage.
