How To Reset The Initial Number On A 5000E Plus

The 5000E Plus can be configured for repetitive numbering. An initial number must be set. The maximum number of characters that can print is 8 with the highest number of 99,999,999. By default, the unit prints the Month, Date, Hour and Minutes. The print order can be changed to include numbering. To set the repetitive numbering:

1. Insert the key into the Top Cover and turn it 1/4 turn to unlock the cover.
2. By holding the left and right sides, lift the Top Cover up.
3. Press Select. If a password is set, the time recorder will display 99 99.
4. Enter the password. The password is required to access the programming. If it is unknown, the time recorder must be reset. To enter the password:
   • Press CHANGE to enter the first two numbers of the password.
   • Press SET.
   • Press CHANGE to enter the second two numbers of the password.
   • Press SET
5. Press Select to position the Indicator Mark next to NUMBER.
6. Press CHANGE to select the Number Digit.
7. Press SET to save the changes.
8. Press CHANGE to select Zero. This makes the same number continuously print.
9. Press SET to save the changes.
10. Press CHANGE to select the Reset code.

11. Press SET to save the changes.
12. Press SET again to exit from the Programming Mode.

When completed, the time recorder should return to the normal display.
