How To Set The Pre-Programmed Comment On The 5000E Plus

The 5000E Plus can be set to print a pre-programmed comment. By default, it prints month, date, hour and minutes. For comments, the print order must be changed to use codes 12 through 18. To set the comment:

1. Remove the top cover.
2. Press SELECT. If a password is set on the unit, the time recorder will display 99 99.
3. Enter the password. The password is required to access the time recorder settings. If it is unknown, the time recorder must be reset. To enter the password:
   • Press CHANGE to enter the first two numbers of the password.
   • Press SET.
   • Press CHANGE to enter the second two numbers of the password.
   • Press SET
4. Press SELECT to position the Indicator Mark under COMMENT.
5. Press CHANGE to select the comment:

6. Press SET to save the changes.
7. Press SET again to exit from the Programming Mode.

When completed, the unit should return to the normal display.
