When updating PayClock Version 6 to the latest update, there are times when part of the software will update to the next release but the other part does not. For example, PayClock may update to the latest version and USB Terminal Manager is running the previous version or vice versa. This can cause the TS100, PC50 and PC60 to show Waiting On Server. When running a multi-user installation, the server could update but not the client, causing a No updates available message.
To fix the installation:
- Download the Auto Recovery Tool.
- Save it to the desktop.
- Double click and run the Auto_Recovery_Tool.exe.
- Allow the utility to correct the installation and update the necessary component.
This utility will verify the part of the installation that is not on the right version and update it accordingly. This file does not initiate the updates for client installs or if PayClock and USB Terminal Manager are on different computers. To update a client or a USB Terminal client the Auto Recovery Tool must be run on each of those computers individually.
