How To Set Up The 5000E Plus For Daylight Saving Time

Daylight Saving Time must be programmed on the 5000E Plus. The time recorder should automatically update the dates for Daylight Saving Time for the next year. To program or verify the Daylight Saving Time settings:

1. Insert the key into the Top Cover and turn it 1/4 turn to unlock the cover.
2. Hold in the Top Case Panel on both sides and lift the Top Cover up.
3. Press Select. If a password is set on the 5000E Plus, the 5000E Plus will display 99 99.
4. Enter the password. The password is required to access the 5000E Plus settings. If the password is unknown, the time recorder must be reset. To enter the password:
   • Press CHANGE to enter the first two numbers of the password.
   • Press SET.
   • Press CHANGE to enter the second two numbers of the password.
   • Press SET
5. Press Select to position the Indicator Mark at the DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME (START/END).
6. Press CHANGE to change the year.
7. Press SET to save the change.
8. Press CHANGE to change the month.
9. Press SET to save the change.
10. Press CHANGE to change the day.
11. Press SET to save the change.
12. Press SET
    
    After a few moments, the 5000E Plus will Flash at the Year again to set the ending date for Daylight Saving Time. This is depicted by the dot under the Month|Day Separator.
13. Press CHANGE to change the year.
14. Press SET to save the change.
15. Press CHANGE to change the month.
16. Press SET to save the change.
17. Press CHANGE to change the day.
18. Press SET to save the change.
19. Press SET again to exit the Programming Mode.

After setting the ending date for Daylight Saving Time, press the SET button again. Replace the cover and lock it into place.
