The FaceIN terminal communicates through an Ethernet connection. If there isn't a network setup, the FaceIN can be connected directly to a computer's Network Interface (NIC) Card. To do so:
- Open the Properties of the NIC Card and the Internet Protocol settings.
- Define the IP (10.0.1.1) and Subnet Mask (255.0.0.0).
- Connect the Ethernet cable to the computer and the FaceIN.
- At the FaceIN terminal, Press MENU on the keypad.
- If an Admin was setup, the Admin's face must be presented.
- On the Functions Menu, press 4 - System Setting.
- On the System Setting menu, press 2 - Set Network.
Leading zeroes are required on the FaceIN Terminal. - Enter 010.000.001.002 for the IP Address.
- Press OK.
- Enter 255.000.000.000 for the Input Mask Code.
- Press OK.
- Leave the Gateway blank.
- Press OK.
The FaceIN terminal should restart automatically. - In the PayClock software, click on the Terminal Manager tab.
The Auto Discovery feature does not work on an FaceIN Terminal. - Click the Add Terminal button
- Select FaceIN.
- Enter the IP address given to the FaceIN in the Device IP Address field.
- Click Save.
- Click the Test Connection button to verify the communications.
